SAFV provides trainings for groups and agencies that have an interest in domestic violence, sexual assault, and the effects of violence on children. Because domestic violence carries over into every aspect of a person's life, training and information is important for employers, ministers, health care professionals, teachers, counselors, and the general public in order to support victims and their children. There is no cost for this service.

Please support SAFV by coming to our fundraiser and celebrating four Sitka women:

The Sixteenth Honoring Women Dinner and Silent Auction is scheduled for April 13, 2013, 6pm at Harrigan Centenial Hall. 

This year’s honorees are Betty Conklin, Cindy Edwards, Marcia Hirai and Mindi Tysor. They will be recognized for their outstanding contribution to women and children in Sitka. 

The event offers a dinner catered by Ludvig’s, a no-host bar, live music, slide show of the  honorees, an award ceremony and a wonderful silent auction of unique art donated by local artists and galleries.
