SHELTER

SAFV provides a safe, comfortable home for our residents. We maintain a shelter with capacity for 24 people who are victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, or stalking. Shelter services are available for those in emergency situations who need immediate safety as well as survivors of past trauma and abuse who need temporary, safe living conditions. Residents work with our trained advocates for personal support, safety planning, and to access the support services they need to build a safe life on their own. Our children's advocate works with resident children to provide personal support, family services, and respite childcare.

ROOMS

SAFV has six bedrooms with capacity for 24 adults and children with closets, storage, and bedding.  

LAUNDRY ROOM

SAFV has three sets of washer and dryer, along with detergent, for residents to wash their belongings.  

TOILETRIES & TOWELS

SAFV provides its residents with basic toiletries, along with bath, face, and hand towels. 

KITCHEN

SAFV has a full kitchen with pantry and freezer, stocked in part by community donations. 

LOCKERS

SAFV provides residents with safes to secure their medication and other small personal items.

LIVING ROOMS

SAFV has two communal living rooms with TVs.

BABY NEEDS

SAFV provides residents with baby necessities, including baby bottles, formula, diapers and wipes. 

TRANSPORTATION

SAFV provides bus passes to residents, and cab vouchers for those who need emergency transportation from a DV situation.
